In 2026, Fritz Hansen celebrates 100 years since the birth of Danish visionary Verner Panton (1926–1998) with a special edition of Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7™ chair. The Series 7™ – Verner Panton 100 reintroduces four original hues from Panton’s 1970s color palette – Yellow, Orange, Red and Brown – each precisely matched to his archival chart from 1972–1988. The release honours the creative dialogue between two Danish design icons. Panton once worked in Jacobsen’s studio, later developing his own experimental approach to form and colour psychology. When invited by Fritz Hansen in the 1970s to reinterpret Jacobsen’s masterpiece, he infused it with bold emotion and modern energy. Half a century later, these warm, expressive tones return to the Series 7™, celebrating a shared legacy of innovation and the enduring power of colour in design.
